Student SHRM Chapter 

New York Institute of Technology's SHRM Student Chapter (NYIT-SHRM) provides a platform for students to practice ideals and values that are necessary to help them transition into the dynamic HR industry. It helps members by organizing events that stem participation, empowerment and professional enrichment that would add value to the individual as well as the chapter


SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 285,000 professional and 42,000 student members in over 140 countries, the association serves the needs of HR professionals and advances the interests of the HR profession.

Join us for a panel discussion and networking event aimed at preparing you to successfully transition from college student to industry professional.  This panel will feature HR professionals from all levels and disciplines.  Speakers will review professional etiquette, your first day check list, mistakes to avoid, and how to make an effective first impression.  Panelists include:
